Why am I so angry all the time?
Irritability and rage are common in perimenopause, especially when you're short of sleep.
Snapping at people you love and feeling on edge all the time can make you wonder what's happened to you. Hormonal changes affect mood, and when they combine with broken sleep and a heavy load at home and work, your fuse gets very short.
Getting sleep back on track and building in small moments to calm your nervous system, even a few minutes of slow breathing, can take the edge off surprisingly quickly.
If your mood feels out of control or very low, talk to your GP.
