Is menopause brain fog real?
It is, it's very common, and for most women it improves.
Losing words, forgetting why you walked into a room and struggling to concentrate are all common in perimenopause. It can be frightening, especially at work, but for most women it's temporary.
Poor sleep and stress make it much worse, so they're usually the place to start. Writing things down, doing one thing at a time and getting outside in daylight all help.
If you're worried about your memory, mention it to your GP so they can check for other causes too.
